Department Advisory Board

The members of a departmental advisory board in the computer science department are usually experts in different fields of Information technology. Such a board would advise, counsel, and assist the department in areas pertaining to curriculum development, research priorities, strategic planning, and general program enhancement.

The Departmental Advisory Committee's (DAC) roles and duties: -

  • Examine and make recommendations for enhancements to all of the department's academic offerings.
  • Encourage the use of standard procedures.
  • Promote industry-institute collaboration to close curriculum gaps and make recommendations for projects that will improve employability skill sets.
  • Offer advice on how to articulate PEOs, PSOs, and COs.
  • Establish guidelines for curriculum enrichment, delivery methods, and evaluation.
  • To satisfy PEOs, suggest topics outside of the curriculum, value-added training programs, and extra lab work.
  • Provide the required action plan for students' skill development, which is essential for the growth of entrepreneurship and quality enhancement.
