  • The Department vision is to create and spread knowledge by combining traditional and modern wisdom in a harmonious way. It also aims to serve society by helping students develop higher levels of intellectual, cultural, ethical, and humanitarian sensibilities. Finally, it wants to encourage a scientific temper and advance professional and technological expertise. A dedication to local and national growth in harmony with our environment, culture, and legacy is essential to our vision.

Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs):

A graduate of B.Sc. Chemistry& M.Sc. Organic Chemistry programme after completion will have

PEO1 : Depth knowledge in fundamentals of chemistry, effective skills to critically assessanalyses and solve problems in chemistry.

PEO2 : Enormous job opportunities at all level of chemical, pharmaceutical, paper, food, leather, cement and materials related industry.

PEO3 : Ability to qualify common entrance, competitive and service commissions examinations.

PEO4 : Developing teamwork, leadership skills and moral values procured through life training for the welfare of their working environment and society.

Programme Outcomes (POs):

On completion of B.Sc. Chemistry & M.Sc. Organic Chemistry Programme, the students are expected to-

PO1 : Have a firm foundation in the fundamentals of chemistry and its recent trends.

PO2 : Understand, identify, articulate, analyse and solve the problems pertaining to the concepts of chemistry and chemistry related issues.

PO3 : Synthesize, compare, evaluate, classify, interpret and utilize the basic laws, principle, chemical phenomena, processes, reaction mechanisms involved in the topics of chemistry, chemical experiments and scientific problems.

PO4 : Make use of modern instrumentation, online searching methods to obtain information about chemical, chemical technique, chemistry models or an issue relating to chemistry.

PO5 : Explicitly communicating and exchanging their ideas in view of the theoretical and experimental findings, impact of chemistry on environment and society to the chemist and non-chemist.
