Ph.D. Rabindranath Tagore’s Poetic Works

The research for the doctoral degree concentrates on the sublime element in the poetry by Rabindranath Tagore. The sublimity is the integral and inherited quality and element in the poetic works of Tagore. Reading of his poetry elevates and enlightens the readers. The research study was intended to find out how the sublime elements occurs in his poetry and how it affects the readers. The sublime element was studied with the help of theories of aesthetics and sublimity in the Western and Indian literature and philosophy.
